Paul Muddha lost his vision at an early age and was abandoned as an infant, today he is the divisional manager at a public sector bank. He not only overcame every hurdle in his life but also helped others like him find their way. He was recently awarded the NCPEDP-Mindtree Helen Keller Awards-2022.
Muddha who was adopted at the age of 13 grew up in Whitefield, Bengaluru. A proactive learner, he got placed in a bank when he was an undergraduate Humanities student. He continued his studies and got a masters in economics, a business degree in finance as well as a doctorate.
The remarkable thing about Muddha is that he not only overcame his disability but relentlessly put in efforts for the well-being of other differently-abled persons.
He is the founder of an NGO named Snehadeep Trust, which provides computer and soft skill training to help people with impairments improve their employment opportunities. According to Muddha, the biggest problem PwDs confront is a lack of employment options. More PwDs must be actively employed by the government, businesses, and society in order to give them a chance at leading honorable lives.
Muddha has made a commendable contribution to the society of the blind over the past 23 years. Many hundreds of visually impaired pupils have benefited from his special skill development livelihood program, which has integrated them into society.
