Isn’t it annoying to get stuck in traffic when you are already running out of time? Even locating a parking spot becomes a problem at times these days. Nowadays both private and commercial vehicles have increased a lot in number due to which it gets difficult to understand which road will be free of traffic or which area would have parking spots. But what if you get to track all of it?
The Pune traffic police department has come up with a website to provide information about road conditions, traffic issues and will also help people locate parking spots. The website, www.punetrafwatch.com will show areas with chronic traffic violations, poor civic infrastructure and will also act as a platform to coordinate with agencies of road infrastructure like PMC as reported by TOI.
While talking a bit more about the website with TOI, Navrisham Kaur of ChangeBhai said: “The website will host actionable data collected by using geo-tagged images, which can be used by citizens and authorities. We are starting with nearly 35,000 images of 47 main roads and 265 important junctions. The reach will be expanded over time.”
The website will also allow the residents to share the problems in their areas. In a time where traffic issues have become a huge problem for daily commuters, this website is going to be extremely helpful for the resident of Pune. We at My Indian Dream are glad that the city traffic police thought about the people and launched something convenient for them.
