Goa is the top destination preferred by both domestic and international tourists in the country. At least the Google India report has declared the same calculating the same by web searches conducted between February and April 2017. 

Tourism minister Manohar Azgaonkar said, “The Google India report has rightly positioned Goa as the most preferred place in India for tourists. Goa's natural beauty and bountiful avenues for leisure and relaxation is a very big draw for tourists all through the year. Goa Tourism will continue to make this state a hotspot for tourists in the coming months and years through new innovative products and services, tourism infrastructure projects and add more value to its offerings for tourists.”

One of the tourism company Thomas Cook also backed this report by stating that bookings for Goa have increased by 15 percent.

“Goa is increasingly emerging as the preferred destination favoured by consumers all year round and has the highest number of repeat clients than any other destination in the domestic travel segment. With extensive business volumes and revenue coming from MICE and leisure travel, Goa continues to feature as the ideal tourist destination within India,” president and country head of leisure travel and MICE at Thomas cook India, Rajeev Kale, said.

With its scenic beauty, positive environment, young tourists Goa is surely the most preferred destination. Be it family, spouse or friends, Goa suits for almost all the age group and hence it is one of the best destinations for many.

Nikhil Hundare, a traveller said, “I have been travelling to Goa almost every year and I love the place. I and my wife prefer going to Goa for a small break because of its serene beaches and pleasant climate, it surely wins our heart against any other destinations in the country.”
