Jagjit Singh’s journey began with a simple yet powerful moment—spotting a stray dog curled up inside an empty barrel at his factory. This sight sparked an idea that would change thousands of lives. Teaming up with his daughter, Ishleen Kaur, he launched a mission to transform discarded drums into cozy shelters for stray dogs. Their initiative, Stray Talk India, has not only provided protection to these vulnerable animals but has also inspired a movement of compassion and innovation

The duo recycles paint factory drums, adding comfortable mattresses and awareness stickers. 

Every Sunday, they distribute 300-400 shelters with the help of dedicated staff and volunteers. These shelters are designed to provide a safe space  for stray dogs, shielding them from the  sun, pouring rain, and freezing winters.

A Ray of Hope for Stray Dogs

Jagjit Singh and Ishleen Kaur's selfless act has provided a ray of hope for stray dogs in need. As they work towards creating a better world for stray dogs, they are also inspiring others to join them in their mission.

Jagjit collects unused drums from factories, repurposing what would have been waste into life-saving shelters. He meticulously cleans and customizes each drum, lining them with comfortable mattresses and placing awareness stickers on them to educate people about the importance of animal welfare. These shelters are then distributed across various areas in Gurugram, ensuring that as many stray dogs as possible have a safe place to call home.

His mission, however, extends beyond just providing warmth—it is about fostering empathy and raising awareness for the welfare of stray animals. He hopes to inspire others to take action, whether by offering food, supporting sterilization efforts, or simply ensuring that stray animals are treated with kindness.

Despite the scale of his work, Jagjit receives no major funding and relies on his own resources, along with donations from kind-hearted individuals who believe in his cause. His selfless dedication has saved countless lives, making him a true hero for these voiceless creatures.

The initiative not only provides shelters but also encourages everyone to contribute to improving the lives of the most vulnerable creatures.
