Spontaneity can help you get through a difficult scenario because a spontaneous idea results in a positive outcome depending on the situation. And for a train driver, an impromptu decision helped him save a soul.
At Kota-Bina stretch in Rajasthan, the driver reversed the train for about a distance of 1 km to save a man named Vinod. It has been said that he was trying to save his mentally disabled brother, Rajendra who had jumped off from the train and while saving him, Vinod fell on the tracks. The incident occurred on Friday at around 4 pm.
Suresh who works with Rajendra is his cousin and he was also travelling with them. The former said the latter’s mental state was not well since a few days.
On talking about the incident with Hindustan Times, the DCM of Kota region, Vikay Prakash said: “As soon as Rajendra jumped off the train, somebody pulled the chain and the train stopped after crawling a few kilometres. Relatives of Rajendra called for an ambulance.” He further stated, the train had to stop as there was no way for the ambulance to reach at the point. Therefore, the driver reversed the train so that the injured passenger could be rushed to a hospital.
Both Vinod and Rajendra were taken to a hospital in Baran and are stable now. The name of the driver has not been identified yet but, his deed has received several praises.
