The annual spring festival (Basant-Utsav) will be held on February 24-25 this year in Dehradun. A meeting was held in this regard, in which governor K K Paul said that the festival aims at giving a boost to floriculture and cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants and that through floriculture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s objective to double the income of farmers can be achieved.
The festival will include a cultural programme by folk artistes of Uttarakhand, a special stamp exhibition and painting competitions. Adequate arrangements for participants and visitors like food, water, toilets and first aid will be made.
