Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 'Nausena Bhawan,' the Indian Navy's state-of-the-art headquarters in Delhi. This marks a significant milestone for the Navy, as it establishes its first independent headquarters in the capital city. The purpose-built facility consolidates the Navy's operations, providing modern amenities and cutting-edge technologies.

Centralized Headquarters:

Previously, the Indian Navy operated from 13 different locations, which posed logistical challenges. The establishment of the 'Nausena Bhawan' brings all the Navy's functions under one roof, enhancing coordination and operational efficiency. 

Architectural Excellence:

The design of the 'Nausena Bhawan' went through a rigorous all-India competition process, ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal. The complex comprises three wings and rises four stories, incorporating innovative construction technologies for optimal efficiency and sustainability. 

Technological Advancements:

The newly inaugurated headquarters boasts advanced technologies to support the Navy's operations. It features a state-of-the-art integrated building management system, ensuring efficient coordination and monitoring of security services and utility systems. Additionally, the headquarters is equipped with extensive IT infrastructure, promoting a paperless work environment. 

Energy Conservation and Sustainability:

Efforts towards energy and water conservation are evident throughout the 'Nausena Bhawan.' The complex integrates solar generation systems and uses advanced building materials. The hybrid reinforced cement concrete construction system enables the construction of large spans with maximum speed. The building's design emphasizes integration with natural elements through landscaped gardens and internal courtyards. 

Security and Safety Measures:

The headquarters features a comprehensive three-tier security system, employing cutting-edge technologies such as automatic underbelly scanning of vehicles, face recognition cameras, and access control. These measures ensure the safety and security of the premises. 

Green Rating and Habitability:

The 'Nausena Bhawan' has achieved a green rating IV under the Integrated Habitability Assessment, underscoring its commitment to sustainable practices. This recognition reflects the Navy's dedication to environmental responsibility.
