Football has been an integral part of Brishti Bagchi’s life since childhood and after coming a long way today she has become the first Indian to play for Madrid Club de Fútbol Femenino.
Brishti will arrive at Madrid on August 5 and join the reserve team of the Spanish women’s football club. She started playing football when she was just 7-years-old and at the age of 9, the incredible footballer got selected to be part of Sports Authority of India and play for it.
Brishti’s performance started drawing attentions when she was training at the Madrid Club on September 2018. They were extremely impressed with it. In a conversation with TOI, she said: “It was decided after my trials last year that I will be training with the reserve team to further develop tactically and eventually play with a contract. I am really excited and can’t wait to be there. It is definitely one of the biggest learning opportunities in my career.”
In 2012, Brishti completed her schooling and right after that she was invited in the United States of America for trials and represented Oklahoma City University Team. While residing in the US, she played for two different universities and one semi-pro team.
We at My Indian Dream are highly proud of Brishti and wish her all the luck for her future endeavors. Keep Shining, girl.
