Mandeep Jangra, a professional boxer from India, defeated Conor McIntosh of Britain in the Cayman Islands to win the super featherweight world title from the World Boxing Federation. The 31-year-old, who has only lost once in his professional career and trains under former Olympic silver medallist Roy Jones Jr., held the advantage in the majority of rounds. Throughout the ten rounds, he maintained his stamina and landed hard blows right away, making it difficult for the British fighter to keep up.

Jangra continued to hold the advantage in the majority of rounds, despite Conor's attempts to rally. "This is among my greatest career triumphs. In a press statement, Jangra expressed gratitude to his sponsor, Nash Built Construction, chief coach Roy Jones, assistant coach Asa Beard, and Angel. "I've put in years of hard work to get here. The fact that I could honor the nation makes me feel proud.
The 2021-debuting Haryana boxer hopes the championship will encourage more Indian fighters to pursue professional careers. "I believe that this title will pave the path for future boxers in the nation to pursue a career in professional boxing. "There is no lack of talent among our fighters; they are all good. They can also win global titles if they have strong managers and promoters," Jangra continued. In his professional career, Jangra has won seven of his twelve fights, including seven knockouts. In the amateur circuit, he also had a respectable run and took home a silver medal from the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
