The newly inaugurated "Terminal in the Garden" or Terminal 2 at Kempegowda International Airport is aptly called a ‘sensorium of wonders’. The lavish, verdant terminal has a lot to offer tourists. The arrival at Terminal 2 is quite an exquisite experience thanks to the well-ventilated landing area with earthy tones of brickwork, pear-shaped hanging lights, and the bubbling of a nearby water body. This is where the immersive experience starts.
Bengaluru's green cover, cultural vibrancy, and technologically savvy side are all reflected in the new terminal. T2 is a perfect example of how airports may be made to seem futuristic and passenger-friendly. It is built on the four guiding principles of sustainability, technology, innovation, and a wonderful mix of art and culture.
Bengaluru airport’s outstanding features that make it the best in the country include rainforest-inspired interiors, “contactless experience” use of facial scanning, automated maintenance among other unique features. The magnificence and grandeur with which it is built make it worthy to compete with the world’s best airport, Singapore’s Changi, which is known for its unique experiential features.
Hrish Thota, a travel blogger sums it all up as he speaks to News18 - “It is so pretty, that one can only wish that every flight across the country, takes a pit stop at Terminal 2 before flying out to its destination just so that one can soak in this beautiful experience. I love the technological advancements in the new terminal like automated bag drop and biometric boarding. The art which is going to be displayed across the terminal is going to lend a soul to the concrete building,"
