Antony Dominic was appointed as the Chief Justice on Friday. The acting Chief Justice took the oath of office in the presence of Kerala governor, P. Sadasivam.
The audience present at the ceremony included High Court judges, judicial officers, cabinet ministers, political leaders and ranking police officers.
Justice Dominic belongs to Ponkunnam near Kanjirapally in Kottayam district. Dominic is also the first Keralite to occupy the top post in 17 years.
