In a heartening display of determination and passion for learning, a 53-year-old individual has shattered the notion that age can hinder one's pursuit of knowledge. Raavi Srinivasa Rao, a resident of Bodduvaripalem village near Ongole in Prakasam district, has become an inspiration by completing an astounding 792 online educational courses since 2020.
Rao's unwavering enthusiasm and love for academics have earned him certificates from esteemed national and international institutions, including Cambridge Digital University, Stanford University, and the World Health Organisation (WHO). He even obtained a doctorate from the Cambridge Digital University for his thesis on 'Digital Description in the Healthcare Industry'.
Despite initially being reluctant towards studies, Rao managed to graduate in Dairy Science and embarked on a successful career in the medical field. He worked as a medical representative at Cadila Pharma in 1993 before transitioning to hospital management in notable healthcare facilities across Nellore, Ongole, and Kurnool. Currently, Rao serves as a cluster head at Rainbow Hospitals in Vijayawada.
Supported by his family, including his elder son Dr. Yeshwant, who is a pediatrician, and his other son Kiran, a Data Scientist, Rao has pushed the boundaries of learning. He acknowledges the invaluable guidance and encouragement from his children and his better half, Vijayalakshmi, which has fueled his pursuit of knowledge.
Rao's remarkable achievement showcases that dedication and determination can overcome any obstacles, regardless of age. He aims to inspire others and prove that nothing is impossible if one dedicates their time and energy to their dreams.
