It was sheer negligence on part of doctors of a hospital in Kanpur who declared a newborn girl as ‘born dead’. This girl, Noopur Singh from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh lived to tell an inspiring tale after reaching the hot seat of Kaun Banega Crorepati, India’s most celebrated game show hosted none other than Amitabh Bachchan.

Conquering Death

Noopur Singh was declared ‘born dead’ and discarded by the doctors. Fortunately, a few relatives spotted signs of life in her and she was revived, much to the joy of her parents. However, she grew up to be physically challenged owing to the negligence and inattention of the doctors in the initial crucial hours of her life. Nevertheless, Noopur grew up to be a good student. She was on the merit list in Intermediate and cleared her B.Ed entrance test in the first attempt. Currently, the 29-year-old enjoys teaching playschool students and also gives free guidance to Class X students.

Noopur’s Journey To KBC

Kaun Banega Crorepati is India’s most loved quiz show which is hosted by a star celebrity- Amitabh Bachchan. Noopur also loved this game show and she would answer most of the questions correctly even before the contestants could answer. Her proud mother and family members asked her to apply for this season. She agreed and to her joy, was selected. Her family rejoiced when she could answer 12 questions correctly, thereby winning Rs 12.5 lakhs and many hearts all over India.

The story of Noopur who pulled herself through from the clutches of death to survive and live an inspiring life motivates us to develop ourselves to the fullest potential.
