The two-day Amaravati Drone Summit included a hackathon, exhibitions, and panel talks on the revolutionary possibilities of drones in crisis management, infrastructure, and agriculture in addition to the record-breaking drone display. Up to 8,000 people could watch from five designated viewing spots during the event, which also featured cultural events and a laser show. To ensure the greatest reach, the show was live-streamed and LED screens were positioned across Vijayawada. In attendance, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu spoke about his pride in and aspirations for the state's drone sector.
The future is floating just above us, and it looks bright!
This is the twilight that signaled the beginning of the drone age in Andhra Pradesh, he said.
However, the event's purpose went beyond simple entertainment; it intended to educate and motivate the audience, particularly the youngsters, about the possibilities of drone technology. The event was the biggest of its sort ever organized in India, according to S. Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary for Investments and Infrastructure. The drone expo provided many students with a rare chance to observe the possible uses of drones in industries including infrastructure, security, and agriculture. "I have never seen so many drones in one location before," said Srikar, an engineering student, expressing his delight. The drone event, which featured a variety of drones, was quite eye-opening.
‘’This evening, I joined my people of Amaravati to watch a brilliant drone show that made five Guinness World Records. I congratulate all the organizers and participants for their talented performances and for making this event a grand success.'' ~ N Chandrababu Naidu
The event at Punnami Ghat, India's largest drone expo, was a major turning point for the state of Andhra Pradesh in addition to providing attendees with an experience they won't soon forget. The Amaravati Drone Summit gains credibility from its Guinness World Record accreditation, which also establishes a high bar for similar events in the future. Given the increasing use of drones in a range of fields, including agriculture and crisis management, this historic occurrence has brought attention to the significance of investing in drone technology going forward.
