Get ready for a novel dining experience at this unique ‘Robot Restaurant” which recently opened its doors in Indiranagar in Bengaluru city.
At the Robot Restaurant, you will be amused to be greeted by robots who will guide you to your table and serve your food. You can choose from a wide range of cuisines from Indian to Chinese to Thai and also a wide selection of exotic mocktails.
The guests can place their order on a tablet which is kept on each table of the 100 seater restaurant. There are 6 robots including 1 usher and 5 bearers - all dressed like a female wearing colourful scarves and sporting a tag - who will serve food based on the order placed by you. The restaurant which is spread across an area of 3,700 sq ft is designed in such a way that it provides extra space in the aisles so the robots can move about smoothly.
Venkatesh Rajendran, the founder of Business Line, first launched the Robot Restaurant in Chennai in 2017 and buoyed by its roaring success he opened another in Coimbatore and now, one in Bengaluru. He said that the robots have built-in facial recognition technology and are programmed to sing birthday wishes on special occasions. In addition to this, soups and starters will be served on mini trains that roll on mini tracks along the tables.
Rajendran is very confident that people will enjoy this futuristic experience.
