A Proud moment for Indian Swimmers for winning 47 medals at the 9th Asian Aquatic Championship which started from 8th September and got over yesterday at Tashkent, in Uzbekistan.
Kamlesh Nanavati, General Secretary of the Swimming Federation of India (SFI), said India wins in both men and women’s categories 47 medals in all, out of which 8 are gold, 15 are silver, 24 are bronze medals.
Sajan Prakash won gold in men's open category in 200m butterfly and silver in 800m freestyle. Madhu P S won silver in open men category in the 100m backstroke event.
Whereas, Shivani Katariya won gold in women's open category in 200m butterfly and silver in 100m freestyle. Kothari bagged silver in 50m butterfly and bronze in the 50m freestyle.
Also, Siddharth Pardeshi and K Ramananda both won a gold medal in 3 mt springboards synchronised diving event.
