Step by step, she became not just a mother but also a guide, teacher, and unwavering support system for her son. Her son has displayed remarkable abilities that go beyond what most would expect. He is a natural at painting, dancing, and singing. Perhaps most uniquely, he loves playing the harmonium, an instrument that requires focus, rhythm, and patience. These talents not only highlight his individuality but also challenge societal perceptions of autism, proving that children on the spectrum possess incredible, often untapped abilities. 

The Birth of Mam Mam TV

In 2022, inspired by her personal experiences and a desire to help others, Aarti Deshpande launched Mam Mam TV, a Marathi-language YouTube channel dedicated to children and parents navigating the complex world of autism. The channel reflects Aarti’s vision of a world where children’s differences are celebrated and parents are empowered to nurture their kids’ potential.

Mam Mam TV is a blend of storytelling, rhymes, music, and educational content, all designed with positivity and cultural enrichment at its core. From teaching simple rhymes to highlighting creative activities, the channel emphasizes learning through joy and engagement. 

Under Aarti’s guidance, Mam Mam TV has grown rapidly, earning over 6 lakh subscribers. The channel’s success culminated in a prestigious recognition, the Outstanding Contribution to Children’s Media award at the Healing Light Awards 2025. This accolade is a reflection of Aarti’s commitment to creating content that heals, inspires, and uplifts families while promoting awareness about autism in society.
