Being kind to others is more than just a one-time act of warmth; it helps people feel like they belong. This is what researchers refer to as "moral elevation," and it not only makes us feel good but also motivates us to do good deeds.
Generosity, even in small doses, can make a big difference in someone's life. A recent deed of kindness by a young child will inspire us to help the less fortunate and restore our faith in humanity. Five-year-old Anusuya Ghosh of Tripura's Shishu Bihar School has drawn praise from a wide range of people for her thoughtful action. Anusuya gave generously of her long hair to Nagpur National Cancer Institute patient Sanghamitra Shaligram, a 50-year-old cancer patient. This action was a powerful testament to the KG II student's kindness. Sanghamitra Shaligram, a patient at Nagpur National Cancer Institute, experienced hair loss as a side effect of her chemotherapy. She wanted to get a hair transplant, and an NGO in Bengaluru forwarded her request to Animesh Ghosh, the father of Anusuya and a resident of Baradowali, Agartala.

Seema Chakma, the mother of 5-year-old Anusuya, said in a report by The Hindustan Times, “We came to know about the unfortunate woman undergoing treatment at Nagpur Cancer Institute through a Bangalore-based NGO. We decided to donate our daughter’s long hair for her hair transplantation. We would be grateful if her hair is used for the cancer patient’s hair transplantation.” When asked if Anusuya was ready to help, Seema expressed that she was indeed excited about donating her long hair for the cause. “Me and my husband are engaged in small social services. So, we thought of taking the step, and Anusuya is very eager to donate her hair,” added Seema.
This young girl's kindness is admirable and should serve as a bright example for others to embrace their humanity in its purest form. The community salutes this amazing young girl with sincere gratitude. Anusuya Ghosh's act of kindness should serve as a call to action to assist those in need and a reminder of the power of selflessness in our community.
