To rejuvenate Kyalasanahalli Lake in Bengaluru, about 6000 saplings were planted in 4 hours in Kyalasanahalli on Saturday.
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Sansera Engineering Pvt Ltd took the immense efforts to revive the Kyalasanahalli Lake. Their efforts had borne fruits as under the lake’s rehabilitation project, which was done a month before, within just 45 days, the lake started restoring to its previous glory, thanks to neighbourhood villagers. Now that the task is on verge of completion, the organizers along with Bengaluru based NGO SayTrees has undertaken a large tree plantation task of planting about 6000 trees in 4 hours!
The study carried out by the organizers stated that an additional four acres land was being encroached for agriculture. So they decided to use on an acre of this additional piece to grow ayurvedic plants and the remaining will be used to make the largest forest of Karnataka. The tree plantation was done using ‘Miyawaki technique’.
The tree plantation took place on Saturday and with SayTree’s help, about 1500 nature lovers, 200 people from three neighbourhood villages and 300 people from Sansera participated in the drive!
