As a young boy, Mayank Pratap Singh who hails from Jaipur always dreamt of becoming a judge because of the importance and respect that the post of judge commands. At the age of 21, his dream has come true as he cleared the Rajasthan judicial services exam in the very first attempt.
Mayank’s success has won him many accolades as he is also the youngest person in the country to have cleared the judicial services exam. The 21-year-old took admission in 2014 for a five year LLB course from Rajasthan University which ended this year. Passing this exam paved the way for him to become the country’s youngest judge.
The original age for appearing in the judicial services exam was 23 years which was brought down to 21 this year. According to Mayank, this move is very welcome as it will help to fill the vacant posts so that justice could be discharged promptly.
Mayank himself is on cloud nine with his success and hopes to serve as many people as possible in his judicial career. The reduction in eligible age for the exam enabled him to appear for the exam. He said that he will now have more time to learn, do more work and serve more people in his career.
